Chapter 6 Who Was This Boy?

After Jacob finished speaking, he looked in the direction that Nelson just left. Seeing this, Megan suddenly froze.

"Why do you care about other guys' appearance? Let's go."

Megan bent down and picked up Jacob.

Seeing that Megan obviously didn't want to talk to him, Jacob felt sad.

He put his arm around Megan's neck and said cutely, "I'm just looking for a man for you."

" 'Brat', mind your own business. I'll ask Aunt Lakey to arrange a place for you in kindergarten this time. You go and study there first. I can rest assured with Aunt Lakey taking care of you."

Megan left with Jacob in her arms, but her hands trembled slightly.

Why did Jacob think Nelson was handsome just now?

Although they looked very alike, since they were father and son, Jacob took a liking to Nelson at first glance, which made Megan somewhat worried.

This was her son, who she had risked her life to give birth to, and he had nothing to do with Nelson.

She would never allow Nelson to take the child away from her.

There was a glimmer of determination in Megan's eyes. But she did not see Jacob's worried eyes.

Although he was young, he knew every night when his mother woke up from a nightmare. Although he didn't know what Nelson had done to his mother back then, since Megan didn't say anything and didn't want him to know, he decided to pretend not to know. However, he already had a plan for helping his mother.

They walked out of the airport with their own thoughts.

Megan stopped a taxi and took Jacob to Lorraine's place directly.

After five years, she still lived there, and her keys were in the same place.

Megan took out the key to open the door and walked in with Jacob.

It's a three-bedroom apartment. The house was not that big, but it was decorated sweetly.

Jacob glanced at it briefly and asked in a low voice, "Mommy, where's your room?"

"Second on the right. I used to live in that room."

Megan smiled slightly.

She and Lorraine were college classmates as well as close friends. When she was bullied by her stepmother, Lorraine always took her in. This was like her real family.

Jacob dragged the luggage and opened Megan's room.

There was a picture of Megan when she was young hung on the wall, but Jacob couldn't recognize it. The moment he opened his eyes, he saw what Megan looked like now, but Megan's eyes turned red.

Because she saw a face, which was full of joy and youth, even if she didn't look as good as she was now back then. It seemed that the joy and youth on her face back then would never appear on her again.

Megan reached out her hand and gently stroked the photo of herself, feeling particularly upset.

Jacob noticed Megan's behavior and asked in confusion, "Mommy, who is this person? Aunt Lakey?"

"No, this is a picture of me when I was young."

Megan was a little choked up, but she tried to hold her tears back.

She was covered in a sad mood, but she did not want Jacob to find out. However, Jacob was a sensitive child, and he clearly sensed his mother's emotional fluctuations.

He suddenly grabbed her hand and said, "Mommy, I'm a little hungry. Can you see if there's anything to eat in the kitchen, please? I'm starving."

With that, Jacob pushed Megan out of the room.

Hence, Megan's sadness faded away.

On the plane, Jacob didn't eat much. Thinking of this, Megan took off her coat and rolled up her sleeves, "Okay, okay, I'll cook for you. You can play by yourself, but don't mess with Aunt Lakey's room, okay?"

"Of course, I know."

Jacob pouted and closed the door.

He looked at the picture of Megan on the wall, took out his cell phone to take a quick picture, and then turned on the computer in the room.

He uploaded Megan's photo from the phone to the computer and quickly found her information.

He also found the information about the marriage between Megan and Nelson eight years ago, and the news that Megan died in flames five years ago when she secretly met her lover.

Jacob's eyes suddenly turned cold.

"Mommy met her lover?"

"How is that possible!"

He knew from birth that there was only one man in his mother's heart, and that was Nelson. Although she didn't say it, Jacob could feel the hatred in her heart.

He was pretty sure that Nelson had done something wrong to Megan.

Jacob then quickly searched for Nelson's information.

From the time he heard the name "Nelson" in Megan's sleep talk, he had investigated Nelson, and he knew everything about him, such as his background, his social status, and his marital status.

Suddenly, Jacob found a picture of Nelson holding a boy.

The boy looked about his age and looked very similar to Nelson. The way Nelson looked at that boy was especially doting and gentle.

"Who was this boy?"

Jacob's eyes suddenly narrowed.

He made a quick search for the boy and found out that it was Ryan, the eldest grandson of the Yankey family. The boy was now four years and ten months old, four months older than him.
