Mike was lying unconscious on the chair. His mind falls back into the lane of his childhood memories. He was playing in the front yard of his house when his father entered wearing a uniform.

"Why do you wear this uniform, Dada? You also go to school?" he had asked with innocence.

"Haha. No, my son. I go to duty." his father had replied, kissing on his cheek.

"Dada, what kind of duty?" he kept the innocence on his face.

"My little hero, there are some bad guys in our city. Bad guys hurt people, and we prevent those guys from hurting people. If bad guys hurt someone, we punish them for doing that." His father had replied, enjoying the conversation.

"Papa, I have never hurt anyone, so I am not a bad guy, right?"

"Yeah! You are. My little hero." "So Dada, why do you wear a uniform?" "You know superheroes wear uniforms, and they also fight bad guys so that they can be distinguished from them. Likewise, we also wear uniforms so that we look different from bad guys."

"Dada, you are a superhero, and you fight with bad guys?" he had asked with surprise in his eyes.

"Yeah. And sometimes they beat us. But we don't lose hope. We try our best to catch the bad guys, and with hope and faith, anything can be achieved. Listen, my child! We all have a superhero in us." His father said, taking him in his lap, "If you ever come up with a bad guy, it will be your duty to stop him from doing bad things. And don't lose hope or surrender to them if they overcome you. Just fight them bravely, and they will run away. My son! It is yours to protect your land even you have to give your life. Promise me you'll do that."

"I promise, Dada!" He said excitedly.

He was taken back from his memories by a jerk. Black Hand had his collar in his hands and was demanding the briefcase. Mike was not in a position that he could answer. He throws down him with force.

All of a sudden, a voice heard from a speaker. It was inspector Paul and was asking him to surrender.

Black looked aghast. He couldn't know how this happened? How the police came to know about his place? At the warehouse, he just had four bodyguards. Police had started searching him from the previous night. They went to his house first. After heavy firing and fighting, they overcome the guards and make them spew where Black Hand was. Black Hand made a quick plan. He decided to use Mike as a hostage. Black Hand opened one of the warehouse's windows.

The warehouse was surrounded by the police force. Inspector Paul and other officers were standing at the front. Black Hand showed them Mike's face and told the force that he has a hostage.

A wave of shock ran into them. They hadn't thought that there might be a hostage situation. Now the position of the police force was weak. They had to save the hostage at any cost.

Paul took the speaker and said, "What do you want, Black Hand?"

Black Hand shouted his phone number out loud and demanded that their every conversation happen on a cell phone.

Another officer, Adam, called the ambulance, phone tracers, and other forces. He had seen that the hostage was really injured. Paul called Black Hand on his phone by a governmental cell phone.

"What do you want, rascal?" he asked, swallowing spittle with anger.

"Hahaha, like you don't know," he replied

"Speak it up, pig."

"I simply want a safe road out of New York through helicopter. That's it. If you fulfill my demand, I'll leave the boy, and if you don't, I'm afraid the boy will die. One more thing, don't dare to come near the warehouse."

"Who's the hostage?"

"Your very dearest friend, Jonathon's boy."

"Mike?"

"Yeah. That."

That was another shock for him. He owed Jonathon James one. Now it was time to return it.

Inspector shut the phone. The whole of their conversation was recorded. Officers joined their heads for a solution to get out of this situation. SWAT commandos also came there. It was a very subtle situation. They didn't know how many men were there. After the lengthy discussion, they decided to play with him.

The wall of the warehouse was covered with reeds. A group of six commandos headed towards warehouse crawling. Black Hand's bodyguards were keeping an eye on every window by turns.

That was the thing which commandos have to take benefit of. Into ten minutes, they were near it. They inspected it and came to know there were only four guards with him. If they would kill them, Black Hand couldn't do anything.

Senior commando ordered one of his men to go back and give this information to the police force. On his way back, one of the bodyguards saw him and shot him from the window. It hit his back, but he kept on crawling. Senior commando didn't know where he was hit. He was still alive, so he sent another man and advised him not to stop until he saw the dead one. He saw blood but not the man and kept crawling. When he reached the police force, he was already there. He was saved. The second man told them there are only four men and no other danger as Black Hand never carried a gun or knife.

Paul held the speaker and said, "We are ready to accept your demand, but you will not hurt the boy."

Hearing that, a victorious smile appeared on Black Hand's face. "You'll not attack me, or I will kill him." He replied.

After half an hour, the voice of a helicopter heard. He peeked through the window and came out with the boy and bodyguards around him. Four gun-fires echoed in the air, and Black Hand's bodyguard laid on the ground.

Commandos appeared from the sides and arrested him. They had baited him, and he swallowed it. There was peace on Paul's face.

It took Michael Jonathon five weeks to fully recover. During this, Chief visited him and promised him to give a reward for what he has done. His mother knew nothing of this, but when she found out his son was in the hospital and why he was there, she visited him there and cried for hours in his arms.

When he was fully recovered, Chief called him in his office. "I promised to give you a reward. Your reward is that your record is clear now, and I give you the post of your father. Don't worry about the paperwork. I'll get it done. Do you accept my offer?"

"Yes, sir. I would proud to," he said proudly.

The oath ceremony was taking place. Mike was taking the oath, and his mother, sitting on the front row, was watching him with a big smile on her face and peace in her heart. She remembered her husband's words: "I'm sure my son will enlighten my name one day, and I bet you'll definitely see that day." he had said, kissing her. She giggled, and a tear rolled down her cheek.
