My hands keep shaking as i brush the comb through my hair.

"You can do this.It'll be fine."

Last year when I started my first day of school,I didn't expect anything.

But this year,I know except what to expect.

Hate.

Lots and lots of it.

I may have broken Caleb's heart,but in this school,I broke everybody's heart.

He is the soul of that school,and I was the stupid and shallow bitch that stared dating him,then hurt him.

Sounds like the plot of a shitty movie right?

I grip my hair in frustration and bite my lip as I look at myself in the mirror.

"You know you could just transfer to another school,right?"

No,no I can't because I love him,and I'm not giving up,yet.

I just put my hair in a bun and wear and oversized hoodie,hoping I appear invisible to the world.

Please don't see me.

Well,I haven't seen him yet.But I know he's gonna be here.Just by the way people are staring at me.

They're looking at me like I've killed a thousand babies and sacrificed a hundred virgins to satan.

Can I sacrifice myself too?

I hear people mentioning my name,but I don't really care. A lump forms in my throat the second I think about seeing him.

I'm not supposed to talk to Emily or Tucker because news travels like lightning in this school,and Caleb would be mad at them if he found out.

He isn't the same,at least that's what Emily says. Then again,neither am I.

But he doesn't attend classes and he's late today. Tucker said he'll probably show up for practice.

Do I wanna see him?

Probably not.

I walk fasts through the hall,not giving anyone a chance to look or talk to me.

But of course,they have to say something. I can't get through one class in peace.

"Lara." I turn my head slightly in the middle of English to look at Jason,a guy from the football team.

"Is it true that you and Caleb broke up. That's why you had to leave?" He asks as I frown and look at him for a couple of seconds before he gets the message and backs off.

After a few more classes,eventually it's lunch time.

And I can't wait to sit alone and everyone looks at me like I'm a monkey at the local zoo.

I get a salad amongst other things,and scan the whole are for a decent space to sit. I walk around,and fail miserably.

I think I see a part of Caleb's face,which causes me to turn around and sit down so fast,i get dizzy for a second.

I pull my hood up and hide my face for a few minutes.

Someone clears their throat,causing me to lift my head up,and see two girls.

"Hi. I'm sorry. I'll get up. Just give me a second." I say quickly.

"Is everything okay?"

"You spilled my milk." I hear at the same time.

"Have mine." I offer the brunette and sigh "Just avoiding my ex." I say with a smile to the blonde.

"Is he gone?I think he's wearing a Nike shirt." I ask.

"You just described half of the senior boys." The brunette says unamused as the other one smacks her hand.

"Green eyes? Long hair?" Tye blond asks as I shake my head "Then no. You're good." I sigh in relief.

"Are you guys new? I haven't seen you before." I frown as I look at them.

"It took you that long to figure it out?"

"Yes,yes we are. I'm Hanna." The blond says smiling.

"And this ray of sunshine is my sister. Isra." She points to her sister and she waves ironically.

"That's unique. I think I've heard it before."

"Our dad's and archeologists. When he was in the Middle East,he heard it there. It means gateway to heaven." she explains.

"That's beautiful." I smile "Are you twins?" I ask.

"Yes. But,we know we don't look alike." Hanna says as I smile.

"Well,i think you are a little similar. I'm Lara,by the way."

"Any who,I should leave you alone. It was nice meeting you."

"You can have lunch with us." Hanna days as her sister widens her eyes at her.

I smile "That's okay. I'm not really that hungry. I'll see you around." I get up and walk out of there with my head down.

I walk down the hall,getting my math book and check myself on the mirror for a second.

Yep,I look like shit.

I roll my eyes and sigh before I head to the hell class that is with Mrs. Robertson. Hopefully she's nicer this year.

Why am I kidding myself?

I notice more people looking my way,more than usual. And now there aren't much whispers,people are literally talking about me in front of my face,and don't care.

I see Emily from far away,close to a water fountain with Tucker,as she widens her eyes at me. I raise an eyebrow,wondering what the hell is going on,but then get my answer real damn quick.

I walk into a person. A very tall person.

To a point where my head hits their chest.

I look up,and my breath gets caught in my throat.

It's him.

I feel the love and hate,and anger,and happiness all over when I see him again.

"H-hi." I barely whisper as he looks down at me with the most terrifying gaze.

"You think hiding behind that ugly ass hood and acting like a coward was gonna get you through senior year?"

He says with a tone that sends a chill down my spine.

"N-no. I...um..." I clear my throat and turn to see everyone looking at us like a damn thriller horror movie.

"Can we...uh,talk,somewhere private?" I ask.

"I have absolutely nothing to say to you. And If you are as smart as I thought you were,you would have transferred."

"Caleb..." I reach my hand out but he pulls back as if I was gonna burn him.

"Don't say my name. And don't you dare fucking touch me!" I say with grinted teeth.

If someone wasn't paying attention to us,they are now.

"Whoa-whoa. What's going on here?" Some girl walks up to us with a serious look of concern on her face.

She grabs Caleb's arm and talks to hims slowly for a few seconds,calming him down.

He looks at me up and down,in a disapproving way.

So,she knows who I am.

"It's okay babe. Let's go." Caleb says but she doesn't move anywhere.

"I'm sorry Lara. But you've hurt him a lot. Please just keep your distance." She says sweetly.

"Who the hell are you?" I look at her blond hair and bright blue eyes.

"This is Nita." He says interlocking his fingers with hers and walking away.
