The Crown

Kingdom of Agrabash

I had the worst morning ever.

I thought that it would be another day where I would go read my books or I'd secretly go into the kitchen to talk to Aunt Liza, the head chef of the whole palace who gives me cookies even when I am not allowed to eat unless mother says so but sadly, truly sadly, it wasn't THAT day. If anyone reads this, specifically my sister Janette who can't seem to understand the word "privacy" please don't tell mom, I promise I'll give you a cookie and maybe a hug.

Unfortunately my mom, the queen as everyone emphasizes to me whenever I misbehave, will be bringing me to Sovern for their Ecliptus festival where they celebrate it to give remembrance to their ancestors who saved them from the destruction of the kingdom and that the so called god that they worship that showcases his presence through the Eclipse helped them guide their way into victory. I know, stupid but Sovern is a weird place and so is the people - Regal, the crown prince has long platinum blonde hair I mean have you seen a guy with long hair? Yes? Okay fine but hear me out! When my mom told me about this trip, it came to me how boring it would be. I disliked the idea of coming to Sovern for they were into horse-riding more than books. Horses are my worst enemy for they are extremely ugly, I don't understand how knights are able to withstand them. If only I weren't a prince, I would've banished them from the kingdom forever.

I brought with me at least 10 books for company. All of them are my personal favorite. Janette didn't come with us because she was busy learning mandarin for a descendant of Pu Yi, the last Manchu Emperor of China. This son of a monarch will be paying a visit and since my sister is supposedly better than me even when I'm seven and she's just five, she was chosen to represent the royal family as we accept the invitation from the Kingdom of Sovern to attend this festival. I really hate that long haired guy, if only he didn't invite us here then we wouldn't be going there right now.

What a total pain.

I thought reading would be good distraction than hearing the loud noises and annoying chatters of people but to my surprise, I actually had no time to read. My dad, the king, wanted to develop my skills in horse-riding that he made me join the yearly competition from the festival which the princess of Sovern would be participating in and is actually the ace of the contest. A princess? Riding a horse? Who knew girls would actually like riding one? Janette even complains about how messy they get. And I, a prince can't even stand the sight of them and a princess? What!

When I heard this, my head started to hurt and I was sure that it made me hate the princess.

I mean, I hate her brother, it wouldn't be different for her! Haha!

I conclude that I probably will never like her.
