CHAPTER 6

"Alex... hmm," I smiled, "It's... a nice name." He suddenly chuckled while staring at my eyes.

"Yeah? You think so?" He leaned closer to my face while still staring at my pretty face. I can even hear my heartbeats! What's wrong with him? He always looks at my face as if he was trying to memorize every angle of it!

I mean, I know that I am pretty gorgeous, but he doesn't need to do that. My heartbeat was like a mouse who's running from a giant cat!

"I-I... no, I take it back!" I suddenly yelled, and I turned around and quickly walked away from him!

"Hey! You can't take it back! You said it yourself that my name is nice!" I smiled when I heard him yelling too. I could hear his footsteps behind me, which makes me walk faster.

"Shutup! Just swim with me later!" I yelled back. I chuckled secretly.

We're good at yelling. We should do that often. It makes me hear Alex clearly but loudly. Oh, it's nice to call him on his name. I mean, finally! It takes me days to get his name! Although I don't care at first.

I told him that midnight is the perfect time for us to swim because I wanted to show him the beautiful night sky full of stars. I'm sure that he'll love it.

We had dinner together, but he wasn't eating. He said that he was on a diet something because he needs to stay in shape, which was ridiculous. He should eat more often because who knows, life is short. But I just let him. The important is it's not my fault if he suddenly dies beside me.

We talked about random stuff as I even told him about my life except that I have Uhm, I'm sick. He doesn't need to know that because we're going to be apart after this trip, and I don't have any plans on getting attached to him. I don't want that. We're just strangers or roomies or whatever and nothing else.

When midnight came, we both went to the pool. Alex walked to the deck chairs as he sat one of them while watching me. He removed his shirt, which makes me suddenly gulped. When he told me about his diet, Dude, he's not even lying!

My jaw dropped in awe. Alex is indeed hot from head to toe! I'm now seeing his abs not only six but eight! Holly Molly! He's hotter than Sean! Oh, don't get me wrong, Sean was my crush back then even if he used to pee on his pants when we're still kids.

I removed my white off-shoulder and shorts as well, revealing my black bikini at him. I noticed him gulping, which makes me laughed so hard.

"You're not the only one who's a hottie here," I chuckling said as I turned around and faced the swimming pool. I jumped on it while screaming excitedly.

The water was not cold or either hot, but it's warm and good. It was refreshing. I looked at the dark sky as it shows again, the pretty stars. It was amazingly beautiful.

I was swimming while Alex was sitting at the deck chair, watching me. Every time I look at him, he always smiles.

"Come on! I thought I'm not the only one who's going to swim in here?!" I suddenly said after I take swimming laps back and forth, "Please? I'm getting tired." I added while placing my arms at the poolside near him. He only laughs.

"I'm good here," He answered, still looking at me. It's not uncomfortable for him to do that, but I don't know if I'm too comfortable or what.

I sighed as I walked towards him and also sat at the deck chair beside him. There are no people around, which makes me more comfortable. I'm just not a people person, I think.

"You good?" He asked. I looked at him after I wiped my face with the towel that the staff gave me a while ago.

"Yep, you don't swim?" I asked back. He scoffed as his brows raised, probably don't know what to answer.

"It's okay. You don't need to answer that." I said before he even says something, "It's not like we're going to be friends after this." I looked again at the stars. It was shining, like how I used to describe them when I was a kid.

I felt his stares, which makes me look at him, "What?" I asked.

"You don't think that we might see each other again?" He asked back. I stayed silent. I don't know what to say to him because he doesn't know anything.

'Because I'm dying, Alex.'

"You know what, whatever happens here, stays here. Okay?" I told him, but he looked hesitant at first as he looked at the sky.

"Okay."

We stayed more for like an hour, just staring at how beautiful stars is. It would always be beautiful in my eyes, and I would love to become one of them because that means I'll be with my mom and dad.

I missed them so much, you know? And I can't wait to be with them. I just stayed for my sister, and now that she has her own family, I can go now.

"Hey, let's go to our room now before you catch a cold in here." Alex suddenly said out of nowhere. We both stood up as I watched him place a towel on my shoulder after I wore my clothes back.

"Thanks," I said as I get all my things.

"Let me," He said while looking at my things that I was holding. I gave it to him with no hesitation as we both walked.

"We should do that more often while we're here," I commented while we were walking at the hall, "Except that I was the only one who does the swimming, though." We both laughed.

When we went inside our room, I saw a black envelope in my bed. I walked to my bed as I took it, and opened it, revealing what's inside of it.

"OMG! It's a ball event!"
